Speaking of POP...somebody popped the cork on a very nice bottle of wine...yep that bottle of vino was to be sold...not by the glass;But, by the bottle...OUPPS- well mostly because you have to throw out left over vino (me I would cook with it...but what do I know) but because of that accident...and my good timing I had a sip of the wayward bottle...YES IT WAS SMOOTH!

By now you can tell I am not a wine connoisseur; However, I am a person with discriminting taste- And darn it all...From now on...when the rare occasion comes up that I have a glass of wine...I will have to request THAT wine... Oh yes I will be forever haunted by that winsome sip!

It reminded me of when the Airlines would bump you up to First Class (back in the day) ...well it took time to get used to sitting back in "Coach!"

But in both cases the nice wine the bump to 1st...Glad I experienced both...Thanks!

Oh and the youngsters were way to small to even know who "Fred Flinstone" was, but for the boomers it was a nice memory and I saw more than a few smiles.

That is how I feel when I'm at Mangiafico's Ristorante...

It must be true because Nancy Verde Barr said "For all those first Italian-Americans who knew that food meant so much more than eating" she dedicated her book of: An American Heritage of Southern Italian Cooking...the book was called "WE CALLED IT MACARONI"

*Note....But if it were only about the food...WOW...you would not be disappointed it is truly a close your eyes and shake your head great experience!

On Saturday night March 13th 2010, the organ player Mike was out for a week so Jack pulled in Lowell who plays jazz guitar. And Mike was able to get Dave the Bass player to come on down to Mangiafico's in Venice and the Swing Tide Combo worked it out!
